Welcome to the 14th Annual John Rossman Memorial NCAA Basketball Pool. In honor of John, the Rossman family started the John Rossman Memorial. John was a big NCAA Tournament fan so each year we host the John Rossman Memorial NCAA Basketball Pool. We play for fun but donations are welcome. The money we raise is given to charity.
While playing in the pool is free, we welcome any donations.
Some ask, What is a suggested donation? While you may donate whatever you wish, we suggest $5.00 per bracket
SCORING
You receive points for every correct team you pick. The number of points you receive for a correct pick increases each round.
As such, someone does not necessarily have to pick the champion in order to win the pool. The scoring for each round is as follows:
Play-in games: No points (not included in pool) Round of 64: 1 point each (32 total possible) Round of 32: 2 point each (32 total possible) Sweet 16: 4 point each (32 total possible) Elite 8: 8 point each (32 total possible) Final 4: 16 point each (32 total possible) Championship Game: 32 points
TIE-BREAKER In case of a tie, the final game total score will be used. If a further tiebreaker is needed, the person with the most correct final four teams will be used.
PRIZES The prizes for the 2012 winners are as follows:
